JPMC Books Inc. is pleased to announce that our educational music publication "African Rhythms & Beats: Bringing African Traditions to the Classroom" was recently named the First Place winner of the 2007 Paul Revere Award for excellence in graphic design in the educational folio category by the Music Publishers' Association. The award was announced on June 8, 2007 at the annual meeting of the Music Publishers' Association in New York City.

As a way of celebrating the award, JPMC Books is offering a 10% discount on all sales of "African Rhythms & Beats" from now until July 31, 2007. "African Rhythms & Beats," written by music educator, author, and clinician Calla Isaak, is a four-stage curriculum aimed at integrating African percussion and ensemble music playing into elementary and middle school classrooms. The "African Rhythms & Beats" curriculum starts out with simple rhythmic exercises and traditional African songs before gradually moving onto more complicated rhythms and finally ensemble pieces.
